The grant for 2015/2016 is £8140

 

Aims for the year:

1.            To further raise standards in PE across the school through high quality teaching.

2.            Continue to improve PE resources.

3.            PE specialist to work with KS1 and KS2.

4.            To further raise the participation levels of pupils taking part in a competitive sporting activity either in cluster events or after school sports club.

5.            To become fully involved in the Bedale Cluster sports programme.

6.            Improve behaviour through participation in team games.

 

We will achieve this by:

  1. Employ professional sports coach for games PE and CPD for staff = £6500
  2. Professional coach for cricket for after school club = £300
  3. PE resources = £662
  4. Participate in cluster and local school activities
  5. Transport to sport activities = £730

 

Impact:

  • Improved standards of games and PE throughout the school particularly cricket, netball and dance
  • Children work together as a team
  • Children more active at playtimes with scooters, bikes, skipping ropes, French skipping
  • Participated in football, x country, multi sports (KS1) and netball – cluster
